The BBC Commissions A Zombie Apocalypse Survival Show

Have you ever watched The Walking Dead, and wondered what you’d do in the face of the Zombie Apocalypse? Well, now you have a chance to live out the scenario…

The BBC has commissioned a seven-part, hourlong survival/horror game show, simply called I Survived A Zombie Apocalypse. The show will trap eight contestants inside of a shopping mall, surrounded by the walking dead.

BBC brass said that the series will “challenge contestants must live by their wits, make difficult decisions, and use urban survival tactics to avoid the lethal bite of a zombie.”

“The Army” is on its way, but the threat will be constant as once a player is bitten, they will leave the show in “grisly style.” Network Controller Zai Bennett calls it, “a reality event on a huge scale.” Entertainment Commissioner Ruby Kuraishe adds, “This is a tongue-in-cheek game show that will really test one’s mettle. I think people will die to be a part of it.”

There’s no word yet on when I Survived A Zombie Apocalypse will be premier, but viewers can expect the show sometime in 2015, after the launch of BBC Three.

  • Reminds me of a TV show ‘The Colony’, which was entertaining. This could go either way.
