Christian Serratos (Rosita Espinosa) is relatively new to the Walking Dead family, but now that she’s been promoted to series regular for the show’s fifth season we’re expecting to see much more of her in the coming months. Christian has already opened up about what she’d like to see from her character Rosita, and now she’s talking to Popsugar about her favorite episode she’s worked on so far.
But first, Christian dished on her impression of TWD before she landed the iconic role of Rosita. “I knew that it was a well-respected show and I knew how popular it was, but I had never seen it,” she admitted, but that all changed once she was cast. “I marathoned it and I watched like three seasons in a week and became a huge die-hard fan.”It appears that Christian is a quick study as well, describing what’s to come in some of those wonderfully generic terms we’ve come to know and (not really) love. There are “always new twists and turns coming,” she promises.
Even though she only appeared in a handful of episodes in the back half of Season 4, Christian already has a favorite. “It was the episode where we were explaining to Glenn Rhee our mission was to go to Washington and it was the first time I actually got to shoot a gun on the show and in life, I had never shot a gun before,” she explained. Christian went on to note that she was expecting to be taught how to use the (fake) gun, but instead she was just handed her weapon on the day of filming and told to give it a shot…see what we did there?!
