Time Of Death: Induction by Shana Festa

Time of Death Induction

When no one or nowhere is safe, where do you go to escape the monsters?

In a few short days, 37 year old Emma Rossi’s hard work will finally pay off. She will don her cap and gown and graduate with a degree in nursing, but not before she loses her first patient and is confronted with a new reality. In Cape Coral, Florida, a storm approaches. The dead are coming back to life.

And they’re hungry.

Infection ravages the Eastern Seaboard with alarming speed while attempts to contain the spread of infection fail. Within days, a small pocket of panicked survivors are all that remain of civilization. Fighting to survive the zombie apocalypse alongside her husband Jake and their dog Daphne, Emma comes face-to-face with her worst nightmare.

Relying on snarky wit and sheer determination, she is forced to commit atrocious acts to protect her family and avoid joining the ranks of the undead.

Time of Death is author Shana Festa’s full-length novel debut.

My moment is when Adam got bit. I’m not saying I liked it, but it stands out because I just knew they were going to make it out safe. It was a real “Oh no” moment for me. ~ Larry Phelps

    • Larry, email heading your way to verify your email.

    • Shana Festa

      Congrats Larry!!

  • Michele Miller Heeder

Spoiler alert!!!My favorite part, call me a romantic, is when Jake makes it back to Emma. It just made me happy.

  • I am so looking forward to the creative zombie deaths in this book!!

  • Rachel Lucidi

I’m looking forward to meeting Emma and seeing her character develop. Also, done gory zombie deaths would be icing on the cake!

  • Desiree Putaski

There were so many awesome parts to this book! Emma is such a kick-ass character! One part that stands out the most is when Jake and Emma wake up in a house they took refuge in and realize that they have to get away and get away fast and end up going over the back fence, but Jake makes the decision to leave Daphne (Emma’s dog) behind and Emma loses it. It’s not an ah-ha moment, or pivotal piece of the story…but it adds such a different level of humanity to the story. Here the world is falling apart and Emma doesn’t want to leave her dog behind. I’m not ashamed to admit I shed a tear and then cheered!

    • Deb Gallatin

Desiree, so funny that we liked the same part in the book! (But I posted 1st, ya copycat! LOL) Teasing 🙂

    • Shana Festa

You have no idea how many people tried to get me to kill the dog in the first book. I cried like a baby giving it the good ole college try.

      • Desiree Putaski

They obviously don’t understand the relationship and love some of us have for our puppies!! That’s kind of like saying.. “that kid is really holding you back…so should get rid of them” Really??! I am going to start a Team Daphne group!

  • Deb Gallatin

My favorite is when Jake left Daphne(the dog) behind, and then had a change of heart and went back for her, putting his own life at risk! Men! Honestly 🙂

    • Lol, I was like yes! LEAVE! My feelings amplified when the survivors made it to the boat.

  • William Pennell

The big Bird bike…Shana is wrong, canary Yellow is an immense colour and the colour of the best football team in the world (Norwich City…ok currently the 18th best team in the premiership and relegated but who’s counting!!!!)

  • Evin

Fav part? When Emma inadvertently sings “Stay in’ Alive” out loud in a packed ER. I can’t remember the last time I actually LOL’ed at a line like that.
